Well situated in the countryside of the Stour Valley on the Essex/Suffolk border, with easy access to the historic wool villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, and Clare.  The Georgian town of Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Colchester with its Roman remains are nearby and the Coast, with seaside resorts of Frinton, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold make a good day out.  Sudbury (4 miles away) has an hourly train service to London Liverpool Street (1 Hour 20 minutes) with easy parking.   Stansted Airport is only a 30 mile drive for people coming from abroad.
