Well situated in the beautiful and tranquil countryside of the Stour Valley and Constable Country on the Suffolk Essex border, with easy access to the historic wool villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, Clare, Cavendish and Castle Hedingham is close with its ancient Castle. The Georgian town of Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Colchester with its Roman remains are nearby and the Coast, with seaside resorts of Frinton, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold make a good day out. Sudbury (3.5 miles away) has an hourly train service to London Liverpool Street (1 Hour 20 minutes) with easy parking. Stansted Airport is only a 30 mile drive, and Harwich Ferry Terminal is 39 miles, for people travelling from abroad.
